Gobble, gobble!
The month of November is here... It’s time for Scorpios and Sagittarius can shine. Daylight savings time officially ends in the upcoming weeks, the start of Hanukkah starts near the end of the month, and most importantly, we can all stuff our faces in the delicious feast our families have come together and made—whether it be direct family or friends!
Here are some fun facts about the incoming month and some November nail inspo to follow:
- Not only is November 7 the day to “fall back” in time, but it is also Zero-Tasking day… a day you can “fall back” and do no tasks that day! As Panic! at the Disco’s “Camisado” insists, “sit back, relax.. six back, relax again and again”
- November 23 is Fibonacci day which directly relates to the Fibonacci sequence: 1, 1, 2, 3.
- In 1857, composer James Pierpont wrote the song “One Horse Open Sleigh” that was intended for Thanksgiving. However, the song became popular around Christmas day; thus, in 1859 the popularity help changed the title to what the song is known today, “Jingle Bells”
- Despite popular belief, eating turkey does not necessarily make you tired. Dr. Daniel Barone, a sleep expert, explains that the tryptophan and post-turkey fatigue has no correlation. In fact, the tired feeling is “postprandial fatigue”, an immediate response of the body shutting down from eating a big meal. In other words, the sleepy feeling is just “food coma”
