The warm weather is started rolling in, and for those of you who hadn’t realized, we have now been a couple months into summer!

Fun Facts:

• The day of the Summer Solstice is normally the longest day of the year due to the fact that the Sun is directly overhead at the Tropic of Cancer
• The name, Summer Soltice, comes from the fact that the Sun looks stand still during the Summer
• Lastly, did you know the first day of summer actually differs every year?

As for 2021, summer started on Sunday, June 20 ^th, when the solstice arrived. The reason for summer not being on the same date every year is that the timing of summer is not based on any calendar specific date or time. It is actually depending on when the sun reaches the northernmost point from the equator, which can occur anytime between June 20-22.

Although it’s been a couple months since summer solstice, it is never too late to keep up with the trends of Summer 2021!
